The probe forms the heart of every coordinate measuring machine. It generates the signals during probing. With their high accuracy and excellent scanning properties the Leitz LSP-X1, LSP-X3 and LSP-X5 probes are particularly outstanding here. CW43L-mw

The DEA CW43L-mw continuous wrist is a heavy-duty precision mechanism able to quickly orient the probe to any attitude following precise 3D trajectories. Its speed and motion are continuously controlled by the system controller to reach maximum machine efficiency.

LSP-X1

The LSP-X1 scanning probe head offers the accuracy characteristics of fixed heads but can also be fitted to a TESASTAR-m motorized indexable head being capable to measure both in point to point and in continuous scanning mode.

LSP-S2

With horizontal probe extensions of up to 800 mm length the continuous High-Speed-Scanning probe head LSP-S2 allows the measurement of features deep inside a work piece. Its integrated automatic weight balance system can carry styli configurations of up to 1000 g. LSP-S2 is the ideal probe head for long styli.

LSP-S4

With horizontal probe extensions of up to 800 mm length the continuous High-Speed-Scanning probe head LSP-S4 allows the measurement of features deep inside a work piece. Its integrated automatic weight balance system can carry styli configurations of up to 1000 g.

In addition to its ability to accept long styli, the LSP-S4 excels with its low trigger forces – ideal for measuring delicate surfaces. Its long travel means that the LSP-S4 is not susceptible to damage caused by collisions.

TESASTAR-i M8

The TESASTAR-i M8 has the same functional characteristics as the TESASTAR-i. The difference is that the TESASTAR-i M8 can accept all probes and accessories with an M8 connection.

TESASTAR-m

This fully motorized, highly accurate probe head is the universal system component for use with any multicoordinate measuring machine, whatever the model or manufacturer. The kinematic joint allows it to be used with TESA probe extension bars up to 300 mm long. The TESASTAR-m is connected to the electronic unit TESASTAR-e, which is controlled by PC-DMIS software.

TESASTAR-m M8

The TESASTAR-m M8 is fully automated and controlled by PC-DMIS. The M8 threaded connection means this probe head is compatible with any accessory of the same type and does not require an adapter.

TESASTAR-sm

TESASTAR-sm is a fully motorised probe head that offers excellent positional repeatability. The indexing capability in increments of 5° allows the probe head to rotate through to 180° as well as angles ranging from +90° to -115° to be reached. The total number of positions is as high as 2,952. Being compactly sized, this probe head can directly be fitted on the Z-axis (65 or 80 mm square section) of nearly all existing CMMs, thus resulting in a noticeable volume increase.
